Short list, enforced. The rules that keep sessions full, fair and safe, what happens when they're broken — and the club's official documents in full.
Bookings
Book before you play
Every player on court is booked in and holds a Volleyball NSW membership. No walk-ons.
Coaches can move you to a different session if the level is wrong for you or for the group.
Cancellations and strikes
Cancel in time
Cancel from your account before the cut-off so someone on the waitlist gets your spot, and the session goes back to your allowance.
A late cancellation or no-show is one strike.
Three strikes within 14 days is a $10 penalty, charged to your account.
Strikes are recorded against your member ID.
Memberships
No lock-in. Ever.
Every membership runs week to week. Change plans or cancel any time with two weeks’ notice — no contracts, no exit fees.
Pause your membership from your account with one week's notice: 2 weeks a year on Once a Week, 4 on Twice a Week, 6 on Unlimited.
First class is $10, one per person, booked online through Start Here and usable for any session. Class packs (5, 10 or 15 classes) never expire. All fees are non-refundable unless the club cancels a session, or a coach asks you to sit out of a social games session because it's above your level.
Guest passes
Bringing a friend
Twice a Week members get 1 guest pass a month; Unlimited members get 2. Once a Week and casual players don’t have guest passes.
Guests need a current Volleyball NSW membership before they play, the same as members. That's their insurance cover.
Request a pass in My Account under Guest passes. Your guest can't already be a member, and needs their own account and a signed waiver before the session. We'll help set that up.
Code of conduct
Respect the call
Self-refereed games work because people accept calls. Argue with a coach, not a teammate.
No abuse, no discrimination, no exceptions. Report anything to any coach — it is handled the same night.
Repeated breaches end your membership.
Safety and insurance
Everyone on court is covered
Every player holds a Volleyball NSW membership. A full membership gives personal accident cover; the one-day introductory membership used for a first session does not. The club also holds $20 million public liability cover through its Volleyball NSW affiliation.
Every adult coach and volunteer holds a current NSW Working With Children Check. Teen groups are coached separately from adults.
Indoor, non-marking court shoes only. Tell the coach about any injury before the session.
