Injury, Insurance and Incident Policy

Volleyball NSW cover, what to do if you are hurt at a session, and how incidents are recorded.

Applies to Every player and every sessionOwner Bossley Bears Volleyball Club Pty Ltd (ABN 58 680 308 070)Effective 1 October 2026

01Insurance cover

Every player holds a Volleyball NSW membership. A full membership provides personal accident insurance for club sessions. The one-day introductory membership used for a first session does not include insurance cover. The club verifies membership before your first session and on renewal.

02If you are hurt

Stop playing and tell the supervising coach. Coaches hold first-aid kits and ice; serious injuries are referred to emergency services. Do not return to play the same night without the coach’s agreement.

03Incident records

Every injury and near-miss is recorded in the club incident log the same night: who, what, when, treatment given and witnesses. Records are kept for seven years and shared only with the player, insurer or as required by law.

04Making a claim

Claims go through Volleyball NSW. The club provides the incident record and any supporting statements within five working days of your request.
