Our Men's Division 3 side have come home with silver from the Volleyball NSW Endorsed League, finishing runners-up in a division that asked a great deal of them.

It is the kind of result that does not happen by accident. Endorsed League brings together clubs from right across the state, and a division-three field is deep in a way that punishes any team relying on one or two players to carry it. Getting to a final means winning on the days when nothing is working, not just the days when everything is.

Built on the ordinary weeks

What stands out about this group is not any single match. It is that most of these players were at training on the ordinary Tuesdays through the year, when there was no tournament on the horizon and no scoreboard to play for. Serving drills in a half-empty hall in July is what a silver medal is actually made of.

Plenty of this squad came through our own classes and social nights before stepping up to representative volleyball. That path is open to anyone willing to put the work in, and this result is what it can look like.

Thank you

To the players, to the coaching staff who gave up their weekends, and to the families who drove, waited and cheered — thank you. Congratulations to the winners, and to every club that made it a competition worth being part of.
